Published three times a year, CSM’s magazine, The Common Good is widely acknowledged as a high-calibre publication. Focusing on a topical theme in each issue, it attracts writers who are leaders in their field and have something to say of substance, interest and insight. The Common Good helps to promote CSM values and challenge thinking Christians to see how their faith interacts with contemporary issues and public policy debates. Recent issues have covered the environment, poverty, crime, education and war and contributors have included Gordon Brown, Tony Blair, Polly Toynbee, Hilary Benn, Noreena Hertz, Roy Hattersley, Joel Edwards, Clare Short, David Lammy and John Battle. It is distributed free to members and also available to buy.

Each makes a significant and informed contribution to thinking on contemporary issues – including, in recent years, multiculturalism, poverty and the situation in Israel/Palestine.
